Volunteers Needed for PrideFest!
September 25th will be here before you know it and and many changes are coming to Pride this year! We are very excited to bring to life a family friendly event that will further celebrate the diversity this festival is designed to showcase.
In an effort to make sure all these changes are managed as smooth as possible, VA Pride is seeking dedicated volunteers for the event as well as the days and weeks leading up to the festival. If you have ever wanted to be part of VAPride, this is your opportunity!
There will be many exciting new opportunities with this new festival plan. There will also be some sections which we have used in the past with great success. Although early morning and evening shifts will require the most hands, the entire day will be dedicated to enjoyment of not only those visiting the event, but for our wonderful volunteers as well.
How do YOU want to be a part of VA. Pride 2010?
Shifts are as follows.
8:00am – 1:30 (breakfast begins at 8am and lunch tickets will be provided when available)
DECORATIONS, SET-UP, VENDOR RELATIONS, ENTERTAINER WELCOME, VIP SUPPORT, SIGNAGE, etc.
1:00pm – 6:15 (Lunch tickets will be provided)
FESTIVAL SUPPORT, ENTERTAINER ASSISTANCE, BREAK FILL IN, ERRANDS, SPOT CLEANING, etc.
5:45pm - finished cleaning the plaza (dinner special to be announced)
FESTIVAL SUPPORT, ENTERTAINER ASSISTANCE, BREAK FILL IN, CLEANING AT END OF FESTIVAL, etc.
Remember, we aren’t just VA PRIDE, we are YOUR VA Pride! With your support, VAPride will be a great success!

July Board Meeting Moved
Due to the July Board Meeting falling on July 4th, the date has been changed to July 11th.
The time and place are still the same, 2pm at the Gay Community Center of Richmond. The meetings are always open to the public and all are invited.
